They are the blue and pink aniseedy sweets out of liquorice allsorts - the ones you either head straight for or avoid like the plague (a bit like Marmite - love it or hate it - except you don`t get marmite in liquorice allsorts!!!)

Apparently Spogs are also known as Horse Cakes. How strange is that?
