Remember Chelsea Whoppers? What about Lucky Tatties? Well, just as everyone thought these old traditional favourites were long dead and buried, we've brought them back! We swam vast oceans, and climbed mountains to find them and here they are!
Mintoes  Mint flavour boiled sweets.  
 

Mintoes - boiled sweets with a minty taste with a difference - they taste almost buttery too - giving a nice rich, refreshing mouth feel (we read in a book that this is the posh term we should be using!)

whatever happened to texan bars?

Remember the advert on TV? A Clint Eastwood style cowboy in a spot of bother, captured by some sombrero wearing outlaws. One asks the cowboy, "A last request gringo?"

The cowboy asks for a Texan bar. He chews on it laconically (love that word!) and it takes him so long to eat it that the baddies fall asleep and he escapes!

Texans made a very brief, limited edition re-appearance in 2005 but we fear they have now gone for good.
