Texan Bars

Texan Bar -- 2005 saw the most requested, long awaited return of the famous Texan Bar (also known as Texans) from the 70's. Remember the Clint Eastwood style cowboy in the animated advert who used to proclaim 'sure is a mighty chew' ??? Well after rumours and counter-rumours, Nestle re-released the bar - but only for a very very short time.

For anyone who hadn't tried one, they were milk chocolate covered chew bars. They were smaller, when they came back, than we remember (but then again what isn't - smaller bar or bigger hands - and mouth???).

They always were softer in the Summer and really chewy when the weather turned nippy - it was part of their character!  And if they are liked that extra hard chew our advice was 'just stick them in the fridge for a while'!

But sadly Nestle only brought them back for a month or two back in 2005 and they haven't returned again... yet... (ooh a cliffhanger!!!)
