Our fruit pastilles are gluten-free and have no artificial colours or flavourings which reduces the guilt of not sharing these delicious treats if you did want to keep them all to yourself.Of course, the original Fruit Pastille was invented in 1881 at the Rowntree factory, and the word Pastille is French! Technically, it should rhyme with the word Bastille (Bastee) but thanks to the glorious Yorkshire accent, the name is as we all know and love it today.Traditional fruit pastille flavours include lemon, lime, strawberry, blackcurrant and orange. Typically, because of the famous (although not as tasty or fruity) Rowntree fruit pastilles it's easy to think of a fruit pastille as all the same round shape. But not only do our fruity pastilles taste better, but they also come in a range of shapes to maximise the fun.Feeling a little guilty about the amount of sugar?
