Just surfed onto your site and had a trip down memory lane when I looked on the ‘Whatever Happened To’ pages – Texan bars!!!! My goodness, my sisters and I used to love those bars! Do you remember the advert on TV? It was a scene of a cowboy in a bit of a predicament with some local Mexican gangsters. One of them asks the cowboy, “A last request gringo?”. The cowboy asks for a Texan bar but it takes so long for him to eat it – the emphasis is placed on him taking his time chewing, that the Mexican soldiers fall asleep and the cowboy escapes! Brilliant!!!!
