Mr Benn was brilliant!
Every week he used to go, in his bowler hat and suit, to his local fancy dress shop, pick out an outfit… and he’d be ushered into the changing room by the little shopkeeper wearing a fez (if my memory serves me right).
And on leaving the changing room he’d miraculously appear in a world determined by his outfit… I remember him being a red knight, a chef, a clown… and lots of other things.
And at the end of his adventure the fancy dress shopkeeper would miraculously appear in the adventure and usher Mr Benn through a door… and he’d be back in the changing room again.
Like I say… Mr Benn was brilliant!
