Hard silver balls – possibly cola flavour – looked like ball bearings – sold by the quarter……….

    I so remember the cola balls, i loved them so much, but I can’t find ANY ONE that does them, and I’ve been up and down the country searching, please please someone must know an email would be good if any one knows, smallish silver balls that had the taste of cola in them, and after you ate them your tounge went silver and your mum always knew you eaten sweets :) THE GOOD OLD DAYS ….

Small hard boiled sweets, round shaped like aniseed balls and were silver and cola flavoured!

Silver balls

Silver balls – like the ones you get for sprinkling on cakes only much bigger (aniseed ball size). Someone told me they were withdrawn because whatever the silver stuff was, it wasn’t good for you. Is this true?

    I remember when they were withdrawn, because some boffin had worked out that the aluminium contained in the “silver” coating was about half the recommended daily intake, per ball! I’d still buy them though…. if anyone was brave enough to make them.
