Hi, Do you know if it’s still possible to buy ‘Nutty Bars’. They had fudge on the inside and the outside were covered in peanuts – absolutely delicious. They kept me going through my college years! Looking forward to hearing from you. Sally.
message: No one seems to remember a NUTTY BAR. It was a thick sausage shaped fudge bar coverd in peanuts. Did I imagine it or did they exist. Gina
It was a chocolate covered bar with coconut and cherries I think it was made by Cadburys and was around in the 1980s. I used to work in a chipshop which had a sweet counter where I remember Nuttys, Cadburys Milk Tray Bar, Cadburys Five Centres etc. I also remember when Mars Bars were only [...]

What has happened to the nutty bars from the late 1970s to the early 1980s. It was approx between 6″ and 7″ in length, with soft nougat centre with soft toffee coating and covered in nuts and the the wrapper was a dark brown plastic wrapper. If any1 knows why they were taken of the [...]
Hi, I wrote once before about nutty bars, seems like I wasn’t the only one!!! Now my mum is reminiscing about Wilkinson’s Marzipan teacakes. These looked like pontefract cakes, as in they were flat and round, but they were a little chewy and tasted a bit like nutty toffee. I liked them too, we used to [...]
Hi as far as I know, Nutty bars were withdrawn due to the peanuts being a ‘choking hazard’ – strange when you consider bags of peanuts are readily available! Cheers Tracy PS – what ever happened to Gold Nuggets/Gold Rush(?)Â chewing gum in the little drawstring bags?
Sweet Memory I have been looking for years for a sweet called ” Nutty”. It came in a clear brown plastic wrapper and was fudge covered in peanuts. Would you please let me know if I can still get hold of this or if it is still being made.
Can you remember Nutty Bars also they were gorgeous caramel centre with nuts on the outside don’t know your ages but if I can find it will send you some thing what will make you think bout your childhood. Paula
Nutty bars. I think a Nestle product from the late 70s. Nuts in caramel, like peanut brittle, but in a translucent brown wrapper. It looked like human waste, which is probably why it never continued. David
It was fudgy in the middle, covered in soft caramel and then rolled in unsalted peanuts. It was in a brown plastic wrapper with orange writing that said “nutty” on it in bold 70′s style font. I remember it from the mid to late 70′s after which time it disappeared. It’s one of those sweets [...]
A bar of peanuts held together with caramel. I know you said you can’t get them anymore – so, just to say that Hersheys ‘Pay Day’ bar is very similar. But they’ve strangely decided to coat salted(!) peanuts with caramel – so they’re nowhere near as good as the british equivalent….but the taste grows on [...]
