Hello!! We think that the Jap desserts were made by a company called “Squirrel”. You can still get the Cadbury box of chocolate bar in Australia where it is called “Snack”. Its very yummy!!! Love the site…..it brought back lots of memories!! Any chance of doing Rose & Violet creams????? Best regards,Liz

This sweet was widely obtainable in the UK until the mid-seventies.I never saw it pre -packed.It always had to be weighed out and bagged in situ. Coloured candy on the outside, with coconut on the inside. Again a sweet that we would like to add… but we can’t find a manufacturer. Any ideas?

    Last knew of these being made by Dunhills of Pontefract but the line was dropped when haribo took them over

    Jap Desserts without a doubt were my favourite sweets along with Toasted Teacakes, you’ve guessed it I love Coconut. Spanish Gold in those strange cubic stile waxy folded packets.
    Where can I gets these childhood delights from???
