Hi, Can you remember the name/brand of the chewing/bubble gum that came with a liquid centre? Probably late 70s but more likely 80s. I seem to remember one line had a sweet cinnamon flavour. Thanks! Stephen

Black Anglo Bubbly

The Anglo bubblegum that was black….. Liquorice I think, but in the same packaging as the original!

    Yeah I remember them! They were called Spook. Round liqourice flavour black chewing gum, they made a heck of a mess if the bubble you blew popped over your face!!

Tasted like germolene in a white wrapper always got a tattoo inside!

    Yep I remember them well. Pink, germoline tasting.
    Each had two smiley face tattoos with different expressions – yellow face with blue border and features. They did come in a white wrapper but I can’t remember what they were called or who made them.

Can’t remember if it was hubba bubba or the other one. I remember it from about mid to late 70′s.

Sorry I do not know the name of these….. They were bubblegum pellets with a liquid centre sold in all good newsagents in the mid 1970s and were a favourite of mine.yummy!

Germoline bubbly?

Distinctive germoline taste and a free tattoo to make you look hard! Had a smiley yellow face on it.

    Yeh – Germoline bubbly – I’ve just been asking random people at work and only one person remembers it. ! The maddest thing ever when you think about it, I mean, it’s like having furniture polish flavour chocolate bars?!?

This is the original flavour that dissappeared years ago. Red packet with pink bubbles on it……

Not sure but it was bubble gum Mild taste of germolene(its true!) and you got a smiley face transfer tattoo in the wrapping, one penny I think!

Gold Rush Bubblegum (I think) Little gold nugget pieces of bubblegum that came in a small plastic pouch/bag with a drawstring. It had a drawing of a gold mine on the front if I remember right….

It looked like a chewy bar of some sort but it was bubble gum it came in orange and strawberry flavours, I think and the wrapper had a monkey blowing a bubble on the front??
