Casey Jones drove the Cannonball Express – a steam train in the southern U S of A.
The series was named after an American railroad engineer from Tennessee – John Luther “Casey” Jones. Set in the 1890s the series was actually made in 1958 and involved attempts by pretty well anything possible (from baddies to the elements) to prevent Casey doing the thing most important thing… bringing the Canonball Express in on time.
No surprises though… Casey won through every time!
