Genius
Hi,

Your site and business is pure genius.

Thanks

Ian

whatever happened to texan bars?

Remember the advert on TV? A Clint Eastwood style cowboy in a spot of bother, captured by some sombrero wearing outlaws. One asks the cowboy, "A last request gringo?"

The cowboy asks for a Texan bar. He chews on it laconically (love that word!) and it takes him so long to eat it that the baddies fall asleep and he escapes!

texan bars

"Texan... sure is a mighty chew."

Texans made a very brief, limited edition re-appearance in 2005 but we fear they have now gone for good.

random trivia
Why are Lucky Tatties called Lucky Tatties? Easy – because in olden times, some Lucky Tatties would contain a hidden coin… sadly they no longer do (for obvious reasons!)
the best comic ever?

It was my favourite comic when I was young... and the inspiration for the look and feel of A Quarter Of...

Golf Ball Bubble Gum - these little dimply white balls were a staple in little white bags up and down the country in the 70s and 80s.

Little minty white golf balls - it didn't take much to keep us happy in those days - .
