Whatever happened to... Aztec Bar?
Aztec
It was like a Mars Bar but not as sickly because it had nougat instead of toffee. It had a purple wrapper and I think it was made by Cadbury's. My father and I still talk about it!

Aztec Bar
Like the top off a Double Decker. A bit Mars Bar-ish???

Aztec Bars....
These were re-issued again in the year 2000, but didn't seem to last very long after that.
Does anyone remember Cadbury's Cabana bars (coconut choccie bar)? And Cadbury's Gambit (a mixture of dark & milk chocolate)?

I remember both those bars (though I struggle to find anyone else who does). If I remember correctly, the Cabana bar had a cherry centre or filling.

I remember them both. The advert for the Gambit was a man who took a bite out of his gambit, and then picked a rainbow out of the sky and used it as a bridge to cross a canyon. They were 15p.

Aztec Bar
Made by Cadburys and, we think, launched to coincide with the 1970 World Cup (the one where Brazil scored that fabulous goal - Carlos Alberto I think). Not sure how long it lasted after that - lots of people seem to remember it fondly but it has long since gone.

they had raisins in them - they were lush

Aztec was Cadburys' "mee too" response to Mars. Cadburyworld in Birmingham used to have a large murial in its advertising archive and there, in the corner, was - yes! - one forlorn, embarrassed looking Aztec wrapper. And now, even that's not there. Are they ashamed?!

Didn't it have both milk AND plain chocolate too ?
I think the main bar was plain, with milk along the top.
