Cox`s Apple Pips - when we gave our master sweetmaker the brief to create our own, exclusive Apple Pips, one of the things we told him probably sounds a bit odd... given that we`re a sweetshop... and that was
`Don`t Make The Apple Pips Too Sweet!`
You see we like our apple sweets to have a slight bite to them... just like the apples that we used to pick off our Cox`s apple tree in our garden when I was running around in shorts... I have NEVER tasted apples so good since... they were the perfect marriage of sweetness and a hint of sharpness.
And that is what inspired our Cox`s Apple Pips, and why we thought the name was so appropriate.
Don`t get me wrong, these aren`t sour... but they do have that delicious edge to them.
Bad play on words coming...
You could say... they are more tart apple... than apple tart! (ouch... my sides hurt...)
